Chautauqua Opportunities Inc is Hiring a COMMUNITY OUTREACH SPECIALIST Near Jamestown, NY
Description
Conduct outreach to recruit eligible households for hazard reduction work, provide education about lead poisoning prevention, provide assistance and referrals for other support services. Hour per week 35: Monday - Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Salary $16.62/hourly (COVID Vaccine Required)
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills Required:
· Strong interpersonal, communication, engagement, and customer relations skills.
· High school diploma; Associates degree in health or human services preferred.
· Minimum one year of work experience in health, human, or social services required.
· Strong attention to detail and follow up.
· Ability to build trusting relationships with program participants.
Ability to use and operate Microsoft office programs.
Special Requirements:
· Ability to work occasional non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends
· Valid driver’s license
· Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the county
· Must be able to provide consistent even tempered customer service at all times
· Bilingual preferred, but not required
· Must be able to provide proof of Covid Vaccine
