Typical Work Duties Include:
- Collect information for the nutrition assessment process, including anthropometric and hemoglobin data, as trained.
- Determines program eligibility by obtaining required documents following procedures of the NYSDOH WIC Program.
- Provides referrals to health and social services, as needed, and document referrals.
- Identify and refer participants to a QN.
- Assist QN’s in planning and evaluating participant-centered nutrition education topics.
- Provide telephone support, via phone call or text message, to assist participants in scheduling and rescheduling appointments.
- Attend staff meetings, Chemung County Health Department required trainings, and other related trainings sponsored by CAI or another agency approved by either WIC Program Coordinator or NYSDOH Western Regional Office.
- Travel to temporary WIC clinics and transport necessary equipment necessary to conduct a WIC clinic.
- Must complete six hours of continuing education every three years.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.92 per hour
