Job Description
The work involves performing routine tasks pertaining to the safety of individuals and the security of County property within an assigned area. The incumbent has responsibility for inspecting County property in order to detect security hazards, deter criminal activity by being visible and observant and to detect maintenance problems and/or equipment failure. The work is performed under direct supervision of a Security Supervisor. Incumbents may be assigned to County facilities, County Parks or at special County events. Does related work as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and surveillance systems is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, or conflict management is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with the public.
