Chesapeake Homes is hiring an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our growing team!
Job Summary:
The Superintendent will be able to plan and run the day-to-day operations on the site, read housing and site plans, complete necessary updates in the ITK program, responsible for daily scheduling, supervise all activities and tasks, ensure the safety and compliance of the site, oversee products and packages to confirm purchase orders going to suppliers, resolve on-site issues and emergencies and coordinate with subcontractors to verify timeliness of project completion.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Must read and understand house plans.
- Review doors and sizes, windows and sizes, trim packages to confirm purchase orders going to suppliers.
- Read and understand site plans, regarding the location of the house on the lot, depth of footing, site setbacks, grading markers, location of utilities.
- Responsible for reading and understanding our SSS (summary selection sheet) from Sales.
- Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors and vendors to complete each project on time.
- Measure and inspect slabs for size, door openings, porches and patios.
- Mark framing/slab after measuring door sizes, microwave location, range location, flooring breaks ability to mark the placement for the island from measuring off other walls in the kitchen.
- Frame check for level, square, 2 x 4s in or out on wall. location of options, bracing and types of joist holders etc. inspect all the following, penetrations for proper sealing and foaming, floor squeaks, floor level, windows installed square.
- Operate ITK program for moving schedule dates, marking for completion and issuing and approving VPO’s requested from subcontractors.
- Calculate and update the schedule and how to load it into the ITK program.

- Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.

Education and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to bend, stand, crawl and reach on a regular basis.
Must be able to safely navigate in and around a construction site.
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times.
