This is a Business Analyst role on the Finance Agile Release Train (ART) working on the Finance-related business process transformation that will be enabled by digital technologies, including SAP S4HANA. The role requires innovative thinking in leveraging technology, and vision and passion for simplifying Finance as a function. Responsibilities for this this position may include but are not limited to: Work with project and business unit representatives to support execution of financial transformation and global finance process design initiatives Support design workshops and help to develop, validate, and document new finance process designs Support efforts to identify local business requirements and implement solutions Identify change management implications associated with new finance process designs Conduct testing of new system functionality Support training development and delivery of new finance processes and SAP S4 HANA functionality Provide deployment support and expertise during go-live periods Key Considerations: Positions are located in Houston, TX or at Chevron’s headquarters in San Ramon, CA. Hybrid work model: two days in-office, three days remote. 9/80 work schedule supported Teams are global, thus there will be some working across time zones Interest in future Chevron assignments as part of the broader Finance Function and/or embedded positions within Upstream, Midstream, Downstream and other support functions Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance or Business 3 years of relevant experience in Finance/Accounting Experience working with SAP and/or Oracle JDE (should be highlighted on resume) Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the following areas: Accounts Payable Joint Venture Accounting Production and Revenue Accounting Inventory Accounting Preferred Skills: Analytical - Assimilate new information & apply it to accounting concepts. Research & evaluate information, develop findings, determine implications, and make recommendations Build Relationships - Develop rapport & maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals. Work cooperatively with technical & functional individuals by building relationships, offering support, & resolving issues Financial Processes & Systems - General knowledge of financial processes, key accounting procedures, policies. Understanding of finance function processes supported by ERP modules in SAP or JDE Deliver Results - Identify important data for decision making. Remove barriers to achieving results.
