POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Lead will manage a large team of instructors and staff in support of the Air Force Culture and Language Center’s (AFCLC) Language Enabled Airmen Program (LEAP) eMentor Course Delivery and Management contract. This position is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the Language, Regional Expertise, and Culture (LREC) training via a synchronous virtual school platform.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of the Language, Regional Expertise, and Culture (LREC) training delivered through the LEAP eMentor program.
- Oversee and supervise a large team composed of language instructors and other program staff.
- Manage an instructor roster and keep up to date with instructor information, including instructor title, name, eMentor certification date, and personal email contact information.
- Ensure eMentors are developed in the domains of language, instruction, teaching technology, assessment development, and language learning strategies.
- Work and communicate with Government POCs.
- Work and communicate with the Learning Management System technical lead to ensure successful delivery of remote, virtual training.
- Ensure all required information (e.g., assessment score data) is sent to the Government during weekly data exchanges.
- Develop monthly status reports for submission within ten business days after the end of each month.
- Track hours and availability of funds during the contract period of performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED:
- Must have Project Management Professional Certification or qualifying experience of at least three years’ experience in relevant program leadership activities, such as a project lead for efforts of at least half the scope of this requirements set.
- Must have at least three years of experience in foreign language distance learning program management.
- Experience in the teaching of foreign language is highly desired.
- Experience with LEaDeR (Language Enabled Development Resource) system to manage LREC education and training preferred.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- May be required to use computer screen for extensive periods of time.
- Extended working hours and travel may be necessary.
