Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
To work collaboratively and at the direction of the Medical Staff Clinical Services Manager and the Medical Staff leaders
in order to assist with Medical Staff projects for St. Joseph Healthcare. Responsibilities include, but
not limited to: meeting with Medical Staff Clinical Manager and Medical staff leaders to assist with activities; facilitate
and maintain mutually cooperative/supportive relationship with physicians and SJH team; become certified as "super
user" of Advanced Clinical Information System (ACIS) and provide one-on-one physician training; establish goals,
objectives, standards of performance; policies and procedures for all medical staff departments, divisions, etc.; update
and maintain SJHC physician orders database to promote best practices and ensure compliance with SJHC pharmacy
policies and other systemwide initiatives, maintenance of all records, reports, statistics or reports relating to special
projects; assist with compliance with JCAHO, National Patient Safety Goals, and/other regulatory standards; and
performs other duties as assigned by the Medical Staff Clinical Services Manager, Medical Staff leaders.
ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Complies with safety and emergency procedures.
2. Complies with Hospital/Department/Unit policies.
3. Documents activities consistent with Hospital/Department/Unit Guidelines.
4. Performs critical/frequent procedures or services.
5. Provides care/services based on identified needs.
6. Uses required equipment for providing care/services.
7. Consults with Hospital/department resources.
8. Demonstrates professional responsibility as per job classification.
9. Demonstrates Core Values Guest Relations/Guest Service Standards.
10. Demonstrates Core Values Based on Behavioral Standards.
11. Facilitate and maintain mutually cooperative/supportive relationships with physicians and all members of the
SJH team.
12. Uses effective verbal and nonverbal communication to promote helpful working relationships and a harmonious
collaborative environment.
13. Assists, coordinates, and schedules meetings, functions, activities and supplies and pertinent resources as
needed by the medical staff.
14. Facilitates, assists and plans orientation and training for physicians in relation to new standards of care, practice
protocols, or documentation.
Qualifications
Required Education for Staff Job Levels: High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Licensure: N/A
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have a at least 5 years of healthcare related experience that
includes collaboration with physicians promoting best practices.
Experience in quality management or projects development is
beneficial. Is able to perform job with advanced skills which reflects
independence and accountability for program goals, objectives,
policies, procedures, and standards. Computer skills will be required.
Pay Range
$22.49 - $22.49 /hour
