Role: Overnight Hourly Cleaner

Reporting to: Executive Chef and General Manager

Status: Non-exempt, hourly

The overnight cleaner will be responsible for cleaning floors, maintaining outside grounds, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, and ensuring restrooms are neat and in order.

Job Scope

• Executing Chica’s standards on cleanliness specifications, both inside and outside of the restaurant.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces and floors.
• Cleans restrooms.
• Cleans and wipes down tables and chairs.
• Cleaning and detail kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• No experience necessary, however previous mechanical, electrical, or kitchen hood cleaning experience is a plus.
• This person will need to be consistent, responsible, honest, work well with others, and must have the ability to follow directions.
• Have excellent attention to detail and work fast and efficiently
• Able to instill safety and sanitation habits
• Be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Flexible working hours, including weekends, overnights, and holidays, when necessary

Working conditions

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat from the stoves and burners.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
