Chicago Nannies, Inc. is Hiring a PT Nanny - 0226 Near Chicago, IL

Job description: Andersonville family is seeking a 3-4 day/week nanny for their infant. They are looking for someone engaging, experienced with strong communication skills! Ideally, the nanny is Spanish speaking but not a requirement. ASAP start.

Compensation: $25/hr. PTO, vacation, and sick days.

Schedule: Guaranteed 24-32 hours per week. Monday, Wednesday, Friday OR Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10am-6pm.

Job Details and Responsibilities:

  • One baby. 4 months old with no special needs.
  • Responsibilities include all care of the infant: feeding, changing, nap, proper hygiene, fun and developmentally appropriate activities, etc.
  • Nanny should be able to follow an age-appropriate schedule and routine for the baby.
  • Nanny should be knowledgeable regarding milestones such as sleep schedules, walking, potty training, starting solids, etc.
  • Nanny will actively engage in a fun yet developmental activities for the child inside and out of doors. Plan a variety of activities with a well-balanced schedule.
  • Light housekeeping related to the child: laundry and bedding, taking out diaper pail, maintain common areas such as playrooms and child's rooms by keeping them tidy, unloading dishwasher, wiping down surfaces, notifying family when supplies are low, etc.
  • Family has a small dog. Dog will likely be kept in a separate space, but nanny should not have allergies.

Qualifications

  • Nanny should have verifiable, long-term experience working with infants.
  • Both parents work from home. They will be in separate spaces, but nanny must be comfortable with this arrangement.
  • The ideal candidate speaks Spanish, but this is not a requirement.
  • A driver is not required. However, if the nanny does drive, he/she must have a safe driving record. Ideally, the nanny can provide a vehicle for use on the job, but the family can provide if needed.
  • Common sense, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset.
  • Reliable and dependable.
  • Loving and warm.
  • COVID & TDAP vaccine are both requirements of the job.
