Duties and Responsibilities

? Set up: ensure that Family Center, all interest areas and toys are

organized and clean;

? Greet families upon their arrival;

? Note weekly health updates (allergies, other concerns);

? Provide child care that includes free play, circle time, music and

movement, table top manipulative activities, snack time, and story time,

as appropriate;

? Complete the Attendance Forms each session;

? Encourage children to be responsible for the organization and cleanliness

of the Family Center;

? Encourage children to practice self-regulation skills and personal-social

skills through play activities, role modeling and conversation;

? Clean up: reorganize interest areas according to age; disinfect mouthed,

dirty toys and used surfaces;

? Attend meetings with MFN Coordinator/Family Specialist as requested;

? Other relevant duties as requested by the MFN Coordinator/Family

Specialist;

? Submission of invoices for payment of services per schedule.

Qualifications

? EEC Lead Teacher Certification or equivalent experience

? Strong interpersonal and communication skills

? Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate play

? Experience working in a multicultural environment with diverse families

? Parenting background desired

? Child CPR and First Aid Training

? A completed and clear CORI form from Medford Public Schools.
