Summary
Full Time Day time Bartender
The purpose of this position is to interact with guests and ensure they have a great experience when seated at the bar ensuring positive, friendly, and efficient service. At all times, bartenders are expected to be attentive to guest needs making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. A bartender mixes, serves alcohol, non-alcoholic drinks and food to patrons of bar by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting providing excellent customer service.
- Take food and beverage orders
- Answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverages
- Stay updated on current menu choices including food and bar specialties, menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items
- Prepare mixed drinks and beverages
- Serve wine, draught beer and bottled beer
- Assist in drink selection, informing customers about food preparation details, communicate specific customer needs to the kitchen staff
- Responsible for collecting of money for drinks and food served
- Takeout orders as needed
- Attend to restaurant service bar
- Stock refrigerating units with wines and bottled beers
- Bus the bar, clearing empty plates, glasses, silverware and wrap food as needed
- Wash glasses, bar and equipment, and polish bar fixtures
- Requisition liquors and supplies
- Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks
- Remove empty bottles and trash
- Maintain a clean and efficient working environment
- Clear communication and teamwork
- Responsible for alcohol serving and abide to policies
- Use proper telephone etiquette to answer and direct calls
- Complete sidework duties
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Adhere to grooming and personal standards consistently
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. In this position, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, bend and regularly lift up to 25 pounds and move kegs up to 130 pounds. Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly.
