Duties and responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Group Lead to join our Quality team. This role is crucial in ensuring leadership of Quality group, completing day-to-day task, reporting and solving issues that may arise. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality with a focus on leadership, detailed observation, and adherence to standards.

Job duties include:

• Auditing FPA (first piece approval) parts for quality assurance.
• Enforce company-wide safety and process regulations.
• Prioritize tasks, make data-driven decisions, update sort boards, and ensure compliance through corrective actions when necessary.
• Maintain clean workspace.
• Assist in training new associates.
• Create detailed reports in the absence of the supervisor.
• Understand the necessary equipment to complete tasks, conduct hourly walkthroughs, audit QA and production processes, and enter inspection data into the QMS system.
• FPA (first piece approval) completion in Intelex QMS (Quality Management system) and sign off on tags inspecting all first pieces are within spec.
• Conduct morning meetings and ensure all training and quality alerts are signed.
• Verify auditors are completing inspections correctly.
• Look up documents in the QMS for issues, complete the end-of-day report, and look for issues on the production floor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Leadership Skills
• Familiarity with quality management systems, mold injection processes, and auditing practices.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules or shifts when necessary.
• Strong observational skills
• Effective team player with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Well-organized with keen attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to make guided decisions based on the data available.
