What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Assistant position at Christ Church?
The Center is Actively seeking for reliable and engaging persons who enjoy entertaining and helping others for a part-time position working with a small team.
Candidates must be able to read out loud well.
Having patience and humor is also helpful.
We work with seniors in a homelike/school setting to create a fun day of socialization,
daily exercises, trivia and guessing games, and various arts and crafts as per a set activity schedule.
You will be greeting and escorting seniors, serving a light breakfast and lunch and leading planned activities in a group setting.
Other responsibilities include: light housekeeping, light cooking, and washing dishes and laundry, filing, gardening, organizing, creating art projects some documentation and creating classes and schedules and cooking for a large group.
Candidate should be able to pick up a minimum of 5 pounds from the ground repetitively.
Must be able to walk as we walk with the seniors and be on your feet for sometime.
History of working and caring for Seniors or disabled persons a plus.
CPR certification a plus, as is being able to play poker, dominoes and croquet.
