Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bi-Lingual Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish/other language, ensuring effective communication with our diverse patient population. This role involves assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately.
· Communicate effectively with patients in both English and Spanish to provide medication counseling, answer questions, and address concerns.
· Process prescription orders, including data entry.
· Maintain and manage pharmacy inventory, including stocking, labeling, and checking for expired medications.
· Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations and procedures.
· Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
· Assist in maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacist.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
· Current Texas State Pharmacy Technician Registration (or ability to obtain before start date).
· National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred but not required.
· Previous experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficient in pharmacy software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand for extended periods.
· Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
· Manual dexterity to handle medications and pharmacy equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
