Job Description Manufacturing Technician 3 - Days Schedule: 3-2-2 Hours: 7am – 7:30pm Starting Pay Rate - $19.57/hr. This highly visible position located at our Victorville, CA Facility. What you’ll do: This position will be responsible for safety, quality and productivity of all equipment on a high-speed manufacturing line including unscrambler, filler, case former, case sealer, case packer. You will be responsible for performing receipt of all raw materials necessary to maintain support of manufacturing production lines. Perform and assist with machine startup/shutdown operations of all equipment in production areas including filler, Douglas case wrap, case sealer, Hartness case packer, and palletizer/stretch wrapper. Assist with general operations in various areas as needed throughout the daily production schedules. Job Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and awareness within the plant and their area. Support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times. Adhere to safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE. Safe and efficient packaging line operation to meet or exceed all quality, scheduling and customer requirements. Perform machine set-up and changeovers. Perform line performance troubleshooting and maintenance as needed to include replacement of machine components as necessary. Perform line preventative maintenance, including adjustment, alignment and lubrication of machinery. Perform product quality tests, including but not limited to, pH, viscosity, product inspection, weight control, cap torque and finished product inspection. Computer operation including entering production information into the manufacturing system. Set-up and operate check weigher, bottle coder, case coder and/or inkjet coder as needed. Participate in continuous improvement teams to identify and resolve areas of downtime, such as Changeover reduction, etc. Assist with the training and certification program as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. What you’ll need: High school diploma or GED required. 3-5 years’ experience production line operation experience in a fast-paced lean manufacturing environment preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude, shop math skills and troubleshooting ability required.
