Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Duties include but not limited to :
Maintaining proper inventory levels of needed supplies
Wiring brake systems
Installation of fender lights
Hookup of hydraulic lines, dual hydraulic jacks, hydraulic brakes
Installation of battery box & wire batteries
Installation of electric cables
Wire all tail lights on trailers
Run 110 wiring as required for trailer accessories
Hook up and wiring of air conditioning units
Installation of top rail caps
Installation of dome & flood lights
Installation of tire and wheel assemblies
Adhere to and sustain lean manufacturing processes including but not limited to 5-S, Point of Use Storage, Kanban systems, etc., in order to maintain productivity requirements and a clean, safe work area
Float to other areas such as Hardware, Mat Bay, Caulking Bay as needed by the Company
Follow all policies and procedures as directed by Cimarron Trailers
Regular attendance is a critical function of this job
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience :
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems
Experience in other areas of Trim Shop
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Ensure product moves through Wiring Bay in an efficient & timely manner.
Able to obtain Cimarron Trailers Wheel & Tire Qualification
Knowledgeable of NATM guidelines on wiring, lighting, tires and wheel assemblies
Able to coach and train new employees efficiently & effectively
Able to work effectively with your team and other teams.
Must be familiar with product construction and application and provide quality work at the source.
Organized, self-motivated, able to work independently
Able to manage multiple tasks and / or priorities & ability to easily adapt to changing situations.
Physical Demands :
Able to stand and move about the facility for prolonged periods of time, including up to an entire 8 hour shift as well as any required overtime.
Able to stoop, bend, twist, squat, and kneel during the course of the day;
Able to climb up and down ladders and crawl under or inside trailers or use ladders to reach elevated places on trailers
Able to use hands and arms to repetitively grip, twist, squeeze and otherwise use tools such as glue guns, plasma torches, pneumatic and electric hand tools and other hand tools throughout the 8 hour shift as well as any required overtime
Frequent and repetitive lifting of up to 25 lbs. throughout shift and occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs. individually throughout the shift. Anything over 50 lbs. is team-lifted.
Able to safely and effectively handle necessary tools required to perform the essential functions of the position.
