What are the responsibilities and job description for the NDT Technician position at Cintal Inc?

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- This position will require the engineer to work within the NDE group and contribute evaluation & inspection to the immediate AMT Decatur team as well as internal & external process partners.
Typical task breakdown:
- Part identification. Material management. Print interpretation. Nondestructive evaluation. Documentation. Communication. Work with laboratory, internal quality engineers & external suppliers.
Interaction with team:
- This position will interact with several team members including the NDE management team, the AMT Laboratory team, the Decatur quality team & external suppliers.
Work environment:
- Mostly shop with some office/desk included for most of the documentation & communication. Additional work environments including supplier locations.
Education & Experience Required:
- Associate of Applied Science in Nondestructive testing technology
or equivalent certifications.
- Preferred candidates would have AWS CWI Certification
- Preferred candidates would include 3 years of previous experience
Technical Skills
- UT – Ultrasonic Testing
- VT – Visual Testing/Inspection of welds
