The Corporate office, located in Mt. Lebanon is currently seeking a full-time Budget Analyst to join our growing team. The Budget Analyst is responsible to assist in the preparation and analysis of the operating budget; both at the consolidated corporate level and for each operating level business unit and ensure budget conformance in association with the VP of Finance.
This is an in-office position out of our Mt. Lebanon, PA office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develops, coordinates and analyzes budgets for each operating department, including meeting with department managers to assist in developing and understanding their budgets.
- Perform budget consolidation for overall presentation to senior management.
- Analyzes departmental expenditures monthly and updates budget to reflect impact to both expense and profitability.
- Provides variance analysis and recommendations to management regarding spending patterns to remain within budget.
- Summarizes financial information for the monthly financial management presentation including actual and projected results.
- Develops financial presentation through Excel including graphics.
- Works with management to create useful management reporting packages.
- Evaluates and recommends enhancements to reporting package on an ongoing basis.
- Provides ad hoc analysis reporting to management on an as-needed basis, such as identifying spending trends, analyzing variances or for other purposes as requested.
- Will assist with monthly closing by providing other general accounting duties as needed.
A Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or other related field is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience with managing budgets, financial analytics, or accounting required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, advanced Excel, and accounting software required. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, independent thinker with excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills with the ability to work as a team member in a high-volume, fast paced work environment.
