There Is One Vacancy With The Department Of The Corporation Counsel, Counseling And Drafting Division.
The Duties And Responsibilities Of This Position Include But Are Not Limited To The Following:
- Performing a wide variety of legal clerical work in support of staff attorneys to include preparing, checking and processing legal forms, documents, and related materials.
- Locating and abstracting information from legal files and records,.
- Gathering and organizing relevant material for use in legal proceedings.
Position Information
NOTE: The Legal Clerk positions are clerical and may be eligible for promotional opportunities to the Supervising Legal Clerk series. However, these classes DO NOT PROGRESS to Law Clerk, Deputy Corporation Counsel, or Deputy Prosecuting Attorney positions.
The qualifications include three (3) years of progressively responsible legal clerical work experience involving the preparation, typing and processing of a variety of legal forms and documents which required substantive knowledge of common legal terminology, procedures, practices, forms and documents. This position requires the ability to type 40 net words per minute.
Salary & Benefits:
This positions pays an annual salary of $47,004. The City and County of Honolulu offers generous benefits that include medical, dental, retirement, and deferred compensation plans, 21 days of vacation, 21 of sick leave, and 13 holidays per year.
