Food & Beverage – Team Lead (PT)

Reports to: Food and Beverage Supervisor(s) and Manager
The City Museum is seeking energetic, fun, responsible and service-orientated applicants for seasonal employment opportunities in the culinary department. The Team Lead is responsible for leading and supporting designated locations and staff throughout the museum. They are responsible for the food preparation and service while creating positive guest experiences while exceeding financial goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interacts with visitors and resolves complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
- Maintains a strong presence on the floor, ensuring standards are demonstrated and maintained by all staff.
- Helps management in daily business needs.
- Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise resulting in the smooth, efficient, and profitable execution of business.
- Motivates team members to maintain high levels of productivity and standards.
- Manage and run daily venue operations. Duties include equipment inspection, POS monitoring and troubleshooting, guest complaint resolution, training, food production, clean up, reconciliation and reporting.
- Relieve staff in assigned areas for breaks/lunches at appropriate times throughout business.
- Ensures that all transaction handling policies are being followed as well as assisting in payment management procedures.
- Ensure that Service, food, and beverage quality are top priorities.
- Training and development of team members.
- Willing to cover any open position to assure location is fully operational and company standards pertaining to speed of service and guest satisfaction are met.
- Adheres to City Museum safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation.
- Ensures security of company assets.
- Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of the City Museum.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- ServSafe Certified
- Ability to establish good relationships with team members. Bring your Positive Attitude.
- Assist guests with all questions regarding City Museum including facility layout and amenities
- Ideal candidates are Team players, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work quickly and concisely while under pressure.
- Must be able to learn and follow proper food handling procedures.
- Must be able to work in environments that can be high paced and stressful
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred
- Familiarity of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Able to take direction and work independently when applicable.
- Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility: This position could lead a small team of up to 15 employees.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in food and beverage venues and is exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures. The employee is frequently exposed to raw meats, fruits, and vegetables. The employee is also occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the office, or moderately loud while in the museum.
