Location: Camp Kent Nature Center located on the Powow River, 92 South Hampton Rd. Amesbury, MA
Description: Instructor will guide learning in nature, lead small groups of children, grades 1-8 to a growing awareness of their environment through observation, exploration, games and crafts, in a day camp-like setting. Program offers kayaking, archery, small elements challenge course, and climbing wall.

· Ponding and Aquatic Insect Studies
· Ropes Course & Climbing Wall
· Native Plant Education & Identification
· Tie- Dye
· Fire Starting & Cooking
· Wild Native Edibles
Qualifications: Minimum age of 18 years.
· Positive Attitude
· Willingness to Learn
· Can lift 50 lbs
· Eagerness to assist with curriculum
· Ability to set clear boundaries
· Comfortable on the water
· Team player& Willingness to communicate openly
· Active
· Desire to connect children to nature
· Familiar with Leave No Trace practices
· First Aid & CPR preferred but will provide for free
· Basic wilderness skills
Preferred
- Experience working with children in a school, camp or similar setting.
Terms of Employment: All staff members must undergo a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check, conducted by the City of Amesbury and have a satisfactory result.
- Dates of employment: June 23, 2025– August 15, 2025
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:45 – 3:15; Monday staff meeting until 4
- Wage: $19/hour, based on education and experience
