General Purpose: Provides oversight of the City's Meals on Wheels and Site meal program. Works with the outside agency senior nutrition meal provider to ensure optimum delivery of service. Will work to ensure the nutrition program is operating in a safe & professional manner and in accordance with Health Department regulations. This position does not include cooking.
Schedule: Permanent Part-time (29 hours per week). Monday through Friday approximately 9:00am-2:00pm
Preferred Qualifications:
(A) Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
(B) Certification in ServSafe Food Manager Certification and experience coordinating kitchen activities for senior's
meals and catering and/or attain certification within 2 months of employment
(C) Ability to work in a team environment and independently as needed; ability to establish and maintain working relationships with employees, supervisors, other agencies, participants, instructors, community leaders and the public
(D) Must be able to effectively meet and deal with the public, speak to a variety of populations and cultures; ability
to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to handle stressful situations
(E) Knowledge and use in computers and common software packages, including electronic communication devices
(F) Must have a valid Michigan driver's license and good driving record
Salary: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour depending on qualifications.
