What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Maintenance and Sawyer Arena Staff position at City of Bangor?
The City's Parks and Recreation Department is hiring for Athletic Maintenance and Sawyer Ice Arena Staff temporary positions!
Under the direct supervision of the Athletic Field Maintenance Supervisor, these positions perform a variety of maintenance related activities of athletic playing fields around the City and ice maintenance at Sawyer Ice Arena. Duties also include event support and occasional event management. Areas consist of: Cameron Stadium, all Bangor High School and Middle School Sports Fields & Sawyer Ice Arena.
Sports fields and indoor ice must be maintained daily to provide safe and playable areas for all users. Duties include watering, weed removal, dragging, setting bases and lines, as well as repairing dirt and turf surfaces; assisting with custodial duties & litter control. Inspection & identifying needed repairs is a must, and the ability to operate a variety of power equipment including riding mowers, motorized utility carts, Zamboni and other pieces of equipment as needed.
Pay range: $15.31 to $16. 88 per hour, 35-40 hours per week.
