Job Summary
Under the direction of the Pool Manager, the Pool Lifeguard enforces pool rules & regulations during recreational swim periods & performs facility cleanup & maintenance at the Boerne City Pool. Monitors swimming activities within the municipal swimming pool to ensure the safety of the public. Assists in the orderly operation & day-to-day activities including enforcement of pool rules & regulations & reporting infractions to the pool management, and awareness of hazardous conditions. Corrective steps to maintain water quality, cleanliness & safety of the pool; watch continuously for accidents within the pool complex & perform rescues, first aid, & lifesaving procedures to assist patrons in trouble.
Requirements:
Current Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate or the equivalent thereof, or completion of training upon hire & prior to the opening of the City Pool. Current American Red Cross First Aid Certificate & current Red Cross CPR Certificate.
Salary: $17.20 Hourly/DOE (seasonal May 27 – August 3, 2025)

- Knowledge of water safety & pool hygiene.
- Ability to move items up to 50 lbs.
- Previous lifeguard experience preferred.
