What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Fighter - Part Time position at CITY OF CLEVELAND?
POSITION SUMMARY: To respond to fire alarms, medical emergencies and other emergency calls to protect life and property; to operate and maintain a variety of fire and rescue apparatus and firefighting equipment; to participate in firefighting activities, hazardous materials incidents, fire prevention, and public fire safety education activities and training activities.
This position is designed as essential personnel and in the event of any natural or manmade disaster is required to be available for immediate call-in.
PAY GRADE: 7 ($32,995.04 - $47,833.76) depending upon experience and qualifications.
LOCATION: Fire Station, Cleveland Texas
STATUS: Status: Part-Time, non-exempt, at-will, 24 hour shifts

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: High School Graduate or GED equivalent required. Minimum of one-year experience as EMT Basic with preference given to EMT Paramedic certification.
Current certification of license as an EMT from the Texas Department of State Health Services. Minimum of one-year experience as Texas Commission on Fire Protection Basic Firefighter.
Valid Class B exempt Texas drivers license required. Completion of a FEMA certified National Incident Management (NIMS) course or equivalent required
