The City of DeLand Police Department is a state accredidated police agency which provides full-time law enforcement services to its 40,000 plus resodents and many visitors. The Police Department boasts outstanding facilities to include a headquarters building with a defensive tactics training room and workout facility, a state of the art Evidence and Vehicle Impoundment facility, a state of the art Tactical Training Facility with a Firearms range and Tactical Shoot House.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Police Officer at the City of DeLand in DeLand, FL. The Police Officer will be responsible for evidence collection, criminal investigations, law enforcement activities, and maintaining public safety and order on a daily basis
Qualifications:
•High school diploma/GED
• Strong moral character
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to pass a written examination, oral board examination, and background investigation to include psychological, polygraph and medical examinations
