PART-TIME KIDS’ LIBRARY ASSISTANT

A Typical Day Might Involve :
- Providing library services to children from birth through eighth grade and their adults
- Helping children and adults discover amazing library materials and providing fun reading suggestions
- Planning and presenting storytimes and other programs including scout visits and school field trips
- Keeping the library collection fresh by ordering new materials, retiring old ones, and creating booklists and displays
- Promoting library collections, programs, and services by attending community events
- Working with the middle school team to provide programming and services to middle schoolers in the library and at the schools
Qualifications :
Weekly Hours : 18
Schedule : Mondays 9 a.m. -5 p.m., Tuesdays 9 a.m. -5 p.m., and Thursdays 5-9 p.m. Participates in the weekend rotation. Saturdays 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sundays 1-5 p.m. 1 out of 5 weekends. May work occasional Friday nights for programs or coverage.
Hourly Rate : $17.95 – 22.44
