What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice Lineman position at City of Farmington?
The City of Farmington is accepting applications for two positions in the Electric Department.
The selected candidate will be required to complete a 4-Year Electric Line Worker Apprenticeship Program through the Missouri Public Utility Alliance and will be certified as a Journeyman Lineman upon successful completion of the program. Training and travel expenses for participation in the program will be paid by the City of Farmington.
Typical duties include construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical transmission, distribution, and substation systems.
Starting pay for the Apprentice Lineman position is $21.01 (under review), with a pay increase to $21.78 upon successful completion of a six month probationary period, and with an excellent benefit package.
