Performs complex professional, technical, administrative, and engineering work for environmental, water, sewer, street, and other Department of Sustainable Development projects and programs ensuring technical competence and compliance with all current codes and criteria. Work is performed under general supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment based on professional education and previous experience.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; supplemented by up to one year of civil engineering experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements), or obtain within one year of employment. Engineer-in-Training and Stormwater Erosion and Sedimentation Control Inspector certifications are preferred. Must have a valid Florida driver's license and maintain satisfactory driving record throughout employment.
