Apply today! About our Department: The General Services Department consists of several divisions in different locations throughout the City. The Facilities Projects Division manages new construction, additions, and alterations of City-owned buildings and parks. The Maintenance Division oversees the maintenance and janitorial services of City-owned structures and properties. The Fleet Services Division is responsible for the fleet purchases, maintenance and repairs of the City’s fleet. General Services Landscape Architect Position Overview: This is professional landscape architectural work performed in the office and/or field to provide technical expertise in the design, development, construction, inspection and implementation, according to applicable laws, regulations and standards, of various construction projects. Work involves the application of technical and design skills, knowledge and leadership for a variety of construction projects. Assists in the design and construction of public building projects. Prepares landscape architectural plans, designs, and specifications. Coordinates design activities with City agencies and boards, contractors, and other entities as necessary. Drafts plans and specifications using both conventional methods and CAD.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Qualifications and Necessary Special Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field from a college or university accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. A Minimum of four (4) years of landscape architecture experience is required.
