Facility Maintenance Worker I

The Facilities Maintenance Worker I, under general supervision of the Central Building Services Superintendent, performs a variety of tasks related to facility maintenance and grounds maintenance for Central Building Services and the downtown Lee's Summit district area.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be 18 years old at time of employment
• One-year experience required in construction trade
• Must be a United States citizen or authorized alien worker
• Valid state Motor Vehicle Operator's license and acceptable driving record required

 
     *Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.CBS has a very fun and exciting atmosphere with a great team and flexible hours. Here is a sample of some of the duties of this position: 

• Keep Downtown Lee’s Summit looking great
• Interacting with Downtown business owners
• Replace burnt out lamps
• Painting projects
• Snow removal 
• Ability to lift 50 pounds routinely 
• Other general maintenance task as needed

Along with the great benefit package the City offers this position is also provided with a city vehicle, uniforms, a boot stipend and proper safety gear. If you enjoy meeting new people and take pride in your work this may be the perfect fit! This is a Monday through Friday position, and the normal working hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Salary : $17 - $22
