Join our team and be part of providing a welcoming environment for swimmers of all ages.Our pool operates daily from 6:00 AM to 7:45 PM, offering a mix of lap swimming, open swim, and lessons. Front End Team Responsibilities: Support overall pool operations and respond to emergencies as needed.Deliver exceptional customer service to pool guests.Maintain and oversee the pool house, concession stand, front grounds, and locker rooms.Serve as the first line of safety, ensuring a clean and secure environment for all visitors.Minimum Age Requirement: 14 years oldWeekly hours vary depending on the position.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Be professional and prepared. This includes being dressed in uniform (Menasha Pool shirts and athletic clothing with appropriate footwear.) Be prepared with water bottles and sun protection to ensure safety and health during heat.Be polite, courteous, and knowledgeable of all pool rules, software processes, EAP response, policies, and procedures. Provide exceptional and welcoming customer service. Offer a helping hand whenever possible.Be aware of any scheduled special activities at the pool and Parks and Recreation special events. Maintain accurate marketing for these events on bulletin boards and TV screen. Provide support as directed during these events.Participate in pre-season and regularly scheduled emergency procedure drills and additional trainings.Know your role (depending on location) in an EAP response and ensure that you’re prepared at all times.Communicate efficiently with fellow staff who are transitioning jobs or shifts.If LG certified, perform lifeguard duties when assigned or approved by the manager on duty.Seek out additional duties or provide support to busier sections when time and foot traffic allows.Be proactive (take all steps to prevent accidents) rather than reactive. Be assertive, aware, and consistent when enforcing pool rules.Knowledge around safe practices with food handling and ensure the food safety practices are being followed.Provide support to swimming lessons as directed.During a shift, routinely check locker rooms, lobby, and restrooms and perform clean-up as needed. When checking in pool guests or transitioning to other roles, be on the lookout for hazardous situations and take necessary actions to prevent accidents. Keep all safety equipment in good repair and keep the areas free of debris.Be responsible for routine maintenance and cleaning duties as assigned, including opening and closing tasks.Provide first aid care when needed. Complete any necessary reports or cleaning as care requires.Answer phone calls and provide customer service as conversation requires.Follow all money and computer policies and appropriate practices.Do not leave an area unsecured or unstaffed. Ensure there is coverage at all times with the exception of when responding to emergencies.Keep a lost and found box organized and maintained, pick up litter and keep bathrooms supplied with paper products.Communicate to other staff members on concerns, updates, and other helpful information. Report for work as scheduled.
