YOUR POSITION
Under the direction of the Utility Program Coordinator, this position will play a crucial role in supporting the electric utility in streamlining the interconnection process, coordinating applications with the city's building and safety division, and monitoring and evaluating the impact of solar and other program projects on the electrical grid. Expertise in solar energy, energy efficiency, data analysis, and project management will contribute to the successful implementation and optimization of clean energy programs. This position is also required to perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned.

MINIMUMN QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, electrical engineering, planning, or a closely related field; OR, equivalent related work experience; AND
At least three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing administrative, operations, budgetary analysis related to Utilities and/or Public Works Administration.
ABOUT THE MORENO VALLEY ELECTRIC UTILITY DIVISION
The Moreno Valley Utility (MVU) manages the operation, maintenance and business planning of the City’s electric utility. The City began serving new customers in February 2004, providing safe, reliable, and economical public electric service with a focus on innovative customer solutions, infrastructure enhancement, community development, and environmentally responsible resource management.

THE CITY
Moreno Valley was incorporated in 1984 as a General Law City, merging the communities of Moreno, Sunnymead and Edgemont. The City operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The City Council is comprised of an elected Mayor and four Council Members elected by district. The City has a committed customer-service oriented workforce comprised of more than 450 employees who provide a wide-range of municipal services including Public Works, Economic Development, Community Development, Parks and Community Services, Financial and Management Services and Library services. The City contracts with Riverside County for Police and Fire services.
