ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

- Pay Considerations – The starting pay for this position is $72,229.66 annually. Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience.
- Work Schedule – This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day, Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 6:00pm at our City Hall Location: 2250 Las Vegas Blvd, N. North Las Vegas, NV 89030.
THE ROLE
Under general supervision, performs analytical, administrative and development duties required to support the City’s web and desktop applications that utilize SQL Server and/or Oracle Databases with Microsoft.net technology. Coordinates responsibilities with supervisor and Senior Programmer Analyst.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
- Equivalency: May substitute a combination of equivalent education and experience to obtain the four (4) year education requirement. The city assesses one (1) year of full-time experience as equivalent to one year of education.
- G.E.D may be substituted for high school diploma.
Licenses and Certifications
- NCIC Certification required within six months of hire/reclassification.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record with the ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within required time frame.
- Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) Certification preferred.
SELECTION PROCESS

- The selection process will begin with a screening of the application/resume - The best qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the assessment process. The selection process will include (dates to be determined).
- Oral Board Interview
- Pre-Employment Screening – Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening.
