What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Program and Pool Manager position at CITY OF PLEASANTON?
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Assist in the development and coordination of programs, activities, events, and athletic leagues.
- Develops, coordinates, implements, and monitors facilities, programs, and events.
- Develops, implements, and approves promotion of programs
- Assist in design and creation of necessary materials to market and promote programs.
- Direct the implementations of park and recreational programs
- Recommend the purchase of new equipment and coordinate purchase orders.
- Assist with new fiscal year budget for future projects
- Promote and maintain excellent public relations and customer service with the community at park and rec events and programs
- Assist the Parks and Recreation Superintendent in all aspects of project implementation as needed
- Support the Parks and Recreation Superintendent with external contacts as needed
- Recommend procedure changes and program ideas
- Supervise and coordinate part-time/seasonal staff
- Assist in monitoring all sports leagues which includes softball, soccer and cornhole
- Clean and operate pool: Backwash, Chlorinator, pool readiness for seasonal opening
- Assist with day-to-day duties of pool including but not limited to maintenance, repairs and other issues that may occur
- Other duties as assigned
