Position Summary:
Under general supervision performs clerical duties and assists the department director in the administration and operation of the department, organizes purchases and expenditures, and performs basic accounting and payroll duties.
Essential Job Functions:
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the duties which the employee may be expected to perform. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
1. Processes invoices for all purchasing of the Recreation Department to be paid by the Finance Department. Balances accounts and reports any discrepancies that should be corrected.
2. Responsible for department payroll.
3. In charge of all Recreation calendars making sure all programs and events and rentals are properly assigned and scheduled. Assigns numbers and codes to programs and classes, sets up programs and classes for computer registration, tracks enrollment for programs and classes
4. Processes all payments for the department. Runs monthly revenue tracking and analysis reports.
5. Creates and distributes Recreation flyers.
6. Handle department’s social media and website.
7. Answer phones and assist in-person customers.
8. Assists with special events which fall on nights or weekends.
9. Performs other related work as required and/or assigned by department director.

Requirements include the following:
· A high school diploma or the equivalent.
· Two or more years’ experience in an administrative / clerical position
· Ability to provide varied, responsible and often confidential office administrative work.
· Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, giving close attention to detail and accuracy.
· Skills in analytical, problem solving and decision-making.
· Skill in the use of office equipment and computers (Microsoft Office) and BS&A.
· Ability to deal courteously and diplomatically with the public with a high degree of professionalism.
· Ability to establish effective working relationships and use good judgment, initiative and resourcefulness when dealing with the public and other employees.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 29 per week
