Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to assist with revamping the staff onboarding and learning development program at Siouxland Libraries. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to learn and contribute to shaping a modern, comprehensive training framework that supports the growth and success of library staff.
The intern will collaborate with the Learning Librarian and library administration to assess current practices, identify gaps, and design innovative solutions to improve the onboarding experience and ongoing professional development. This role requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and a passion for fostering a culture of continuous learning within a public service environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Recent graduate or currently enrolled as a full-time student at a college or university with an interest in pursuing a career in public libraries. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work as a team member and collaborate effectively with others, and have a basic understanding of legal and policy language.
