POLICE OFFICER
The City of Webster City Police Department will be creating a Civil Service eligibility list for the position of Police Officer. The Webster City Police Department is a proactive agency of 13 sworn officers and a civilian dispatching staff. The department is interested in enthusiastic candidates who exhibit a desire for individual growth as well as desire to be a member of an energetic team. The City provides a generous benefit package. The City of Webster City is a member of the Municipal Fire and Police Retirement System of Iowa. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply. Current Employee Wages and Benefits Effective January 2025
Wages: Range for Non-Certified Police Officer:
$26.85/hr. - $28.58/hr.
Range for Certified Police Officer: $30.06/hr- $33.84/hr.
Paid Vacation
1-7 years of service: 84 hours
8-15 years of service: 120 hours
16 years of service: 160 hours
Sick Leave: 12 days/year to a maximum of 150 days
Longevity: $4.00/month through 22 years = $1,056 maximum
Acting Shift Supervisor: .75/hr.
Shift Differential
Personal Day: One
Uniform Allowance: Provided
Cleaning Allowance: $104/year
Health/Dental/Vision Insurance: Flexible insurance plan offered for employees and families. There is no cost to the employee for single coverage, current monthly cost to employee for family coverage is $215.41.
Life Insurance: $30,000 term insurance for all employees.
Retirement: Civil Service Iowa Code Chapter 411 MFPRSI
Employer contribution rate for July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025 is 22.66%
