About the position
We are looking for a Propane Service Tech and Driver to be responsible for installation and maintenance of new and existing LP systems, systems sales, as well as back up propane delivery, and providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional image as part of the company team.
You’ll report to the Plant Manager responsible for our Lewiston, ID location, focusing on these key responsibilities :
- Perform installation and service work in an efficient, safe manner, and in accordance with all state, federal and company rules and regulations.
- Operate various types of service trucks and booms, as well as bobtails for delivery of fuel when required.
- Prepare customer invoices, leak test forms, cargo documents, and other paperwork completely, accurately and legibly to assure product quality.
- Work with our Customer Care Specialists to schedule tank sets and service work in a timely manner.
- Order propane parts and supplies keep adequate stock on hand to service customer demand.
- Exceed customer expectations, provide outstanding customer service, be alert to customer needs / issues and try to resolve them.
- Maintain high standards of courtesy and respect for all customers and fellow employees.
- Maintain high company standards for self. Personal appearance must be neat and well groomed. Uniforms must be clean.
- Maintain high company image standards for company vehicles. Trucks must be kept clean and neat inside and outside.
- Arrange for routine truck maintenance and repair with supervisor in accordance with service intervals specified in the operations manual. Perform minor maintenance functions as required.
- Report any new competitor products, customers, or marketing strategies you see to your supervisor.
- Attend and complete company sponsored and / or industry sponsored training as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
