What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Surveyor position at Civil Design Group, Inc.?
The primary responsibility of the Surveyor is to measure and map land and legal parcels for boundary and topographic surveys as well as the laying out construction and engineering projects. A combination of field work and computer drafting skills are necessary for this job.
Responsibilities:
Perform boundary and topographic surveys utilizing GPS Equipment.
Construction layout of sitework and utilities utilizing GPS and robotic total station
As-built collection
Minor to moderate survey calculation
Keeping detailed notes and logs
Qualifications:
3 years survey experience
Detail oriented processes
Ability work independently
Reliable
Excellent problem-solving skills
Understanding of mapping and basic surveying and subdivision concepts

Work Environment:
Work is performed outside in varying types of environmental conditions. The requirements of this position involve extended periods of strenuous physical activity under various field and weather conditions. Applicant must be able to lift, carry, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.
