Position Description: Support position with functional responsibility for directing and coordinating warehouse activity. Handling activities relating to received and shipment product, and the storage/movement of the product within the warehouse.
Primary Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
-Plan layout of warehouse and other storage areas.
-Advise associates on care and preservation of items stored and shipped and methods and of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock.
-Study records and recommend corrective actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock.
-Trace history of items to identify the reasons of discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
-Determine work instructions, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
-Maintain warehouse products in an orderly and organized manor; all items must be identifiable, countable, and findable.
-Report inventory errors to Materials Manager.
-Perform cycle counts and monitor ERP system for accuracy/correlation.
Additional Responsibilities:
-Organize and prepare materials for outsourced deliveries, as required.
-Unload and load trucks, as needed, ensuring load has proper paperwork, and inventory movement is proper reported/adjusted in the Clarion’s ERP system.
-Training, managing, and evaluation of all shipping, receiving, and warehouse personnel.
-Schedule workers for special and periodic inventories as directed by Materials Manager.
-Participate, as needed, in internal problem solving/improvement activities.
-Other duties as assigned by management.
Other Requirements:
-High School Diploma or GED
-Proficient use of personal computers and computers within a network setting.
-Perform basic math functions – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
-Effective communicator with customers, vendors, and all levels of associates.
-Ability to actively manage problem-solving activities.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with extreme deadline pressure.
-Responsible for knowing, understanding, and complying with the safety policies and procedures.
-Forklift driver’s license.
-Able to support overtime during the week or weekends.
