Position Title Hydrovac Operator

Reports To Operations Manager

Location Hebron, Ohio

Position Type Full Time

Pay Rate $25.00 - $30.00

We are seeking an experienced Hydrovac Operator to join our dynamicteam. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and have a strong background in hydro excavation techniques.

Related Tasks / Requirements

Safely operate hydrovac truck equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
Drive hydrovac truck(s) to designated job sites in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
Set up and prepare hydrovac equipment for excavation activities, including the proper assembly and disassembly of hoses, vacuum tubes, and other components.
Perform hydro excavation tasks to safely expose underground utilities, pipelines, and other infrastructure using pressurized water and vacuum systems.
Monitor equipment operation to ensure efficient and effective excavation, adjusting settings as needed to maintain optimal performance.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on hydrovac equipment to identify and address any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
Complete excavation projects within specified timelines and budgets, while prioritizing safety and quality standards.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to coordinate job activities, report progress, and address any concerns or obstacles.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily activity logs, equipment maintenance reports, and incident documentation.
Adhere to company policies regarding workplace safety, environmental compliance, and risk management at all times.

Special Requirements

Knowledgeable in operation of HDD rig and or excavator

Knowledgeable in splicing

Knowledgeable in operating all jobsite equipment

Ability to read and comprehend utility maps

Basic understanding of equipment maintenance and repair

Basic understanding and proper use of hand tools

Reading one personal development book or audio per half year and provide review

Possess a creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements and a desire for continual learning and self-improvement

CDL Commercial Driver License with Class A, Tanker, Air Brakes, Combination

Willingness to go above and beyond to ensure project completion within standards

Understanding that this position may require me to travel outside of my normal working area as part of my job
