Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Decking Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales and building strong relationships with customers. This role will respond to and coordinate all composite decking leads generated through all Home Depot stores in the territory. This role requires a proactive approach to territory management, direct sales, and business development. As a Decking Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in achieving our sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Engage with Home Depot management and associates to education, train, and coach for increased lead volume.
- Manage assigned territory effectively to maximize sales opportunities.
- Conduct direct sales activities, including upselling and inside sales techniques.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Home Depot teams.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to close sales successfully.
- Collaborate with the sales management team to strategize on business development initiatives.
- Track and report on sales performance metrics and customer feedback.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a retail or direct sales environment.
- Strong skills in territory management and business development strategies.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-centric approach.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Familiarity with CRM software is a plus but not mandatory.
