Clemson Downs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities for our Independent Living residents. The ideal candidate for this position will be socially adept, particularly in relationship with seniors, an excellent communicator with all levels of residents, staff and family members, inventive and creative, and have excellent organizational skills.
Duties
- Plan, schedule and coordinate receptions, special entertainment and parties on campus for independent living residents.
- Plan and coordinate both on-campus and off-campus activities for independent living residents.
- Maintain and prepare a weekly and monthly activity calendars.
- Organize special events, outings, and seasonal celebrations that foster community involvement and enhance resident enjoyment.
- Collaborate with activity coordinatos in other levels of care.
- Provide support and encouragement to residents during activities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in schedule management is essential for ensuring smooth operation of daily activities.
- Background in event planning or caregiving will be beneficial in creating engaging experiences for residents.
- A passion for senior care and a commitment to enhancing the lives of older adults through thoughtful programming is crucial.
- Must have a clean SC driving record.
