Pay Range: 14, $19.31/hr - $22.95/hr DOQ

Demonstrated experience writing accurate and concise electronic communications, meeting minutes, business letters, reports and memorandums. Demonstrated experience initiating projects with little or no supervision and using sound judgement and independent decision making to see projects through to a satisfactory conclusion. Ability to prepare, implement, monitor and report on the office budget to ensure fiscal accountability. Demonstrated experience utilizing a personal computer with proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office software applications.
Duties are performed seated, standing, or walking at will. Job requires no more than normal physical abilities such as visual and hearing acuity. Work is performed in a standard office setting with adequate lighting, heating and ventilation.
Establishes and monitors procedures for record keeping and ensure that filing systems are maintained and current. Analyzes and monitors internal processes and implements procedural and policy changes as needed to improve operational efficiency. Handles confidential information related to county operations and employees and interacts with all levels of county personnel including management. Monitors and maintains office supply inventory and reviews and approves office supply acquisitions. Manages or prepares and tracks responses to inquiries and records requests and determines the appropriate action for non-routine situations. Manages the Clermont Cares program including coordination of responses with applicable departments/agencies. Prepares the BCC Budget and appropriation request. Manages department's appropriation including processing of payroll, travel & training requests, and obtaining purchase orders, processes monthly invoices and pay-ins, maintains current appropriation balances, and provides financial reports as needed. Serves as back-up to the Executive Assistant 2 position.
Maintains current knowledge of all aspects of the BCC Office including current and proposed projects, programs, and procedures. Tracks to completion incoming correspondence, proposals, projects, bids, routine and non-routine documents submitted for evaluation by BCC and Administration. Manages all necessary and appropriate information essential to the efficient operation of the BCC office.
Prepares and coordinates proclamations/certificates, letters of support and related items for BCC action. Monitors and coordinates Board appointments and applications; forwards applications and recommendations to Clerk of the Board; maintains data in the Board Appointment Management System. Maintains the Agenda Database and communicates with ISD to correct technical issues and resolve complaints. Maintains BCC website calendar, Board calendar and BCC staff calendar.
Works alone or with other persons in short or long-term team projects to resolve problems or conflicts in any area of county operations or to complete assigned projects at the direction of the Board, County Administrator or Assistant County Administrator. Participates in cross-training and maintains proficiency in area of cross-training as necessary. New and other related duties as assigned. Reports safety/risk management issues to immediate supervisor.
