Fleetwood Metal Industries , a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Manager in our Sylacauga, Alabama Stamping Facility. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and management of the maintenance function to ensure production goals are met adequately and in a timely manner. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package with career advancement opportunities.Summary of Responsibilities : Provide leadership to teams ensuring employees performing maintenance activities are trained and qualified to perform them.Ensure that appropriate optimum technology, equipment, and methodology are employed.Monitor expenditures versus plan and manage accordinglyEnsure effective implementation of maintenance and preventative maintenance programs and schedules.Continuously seek out and identify opportunities for improvement in costs, quality, customer service, health and safety, and plant operationsEstablish appropriate, timely reporting system setting out progress against objectives, with follow-up action steps where necessaryMaintains computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipmentMaintain preventative maintenance schedule for all assetsManage inventory of required parts and liaison with the purchaser to ensure the appropriate levels are maintainedEnsure the proper training is completed prior to the assignment of any tasksMinimum Qualifications : Minimum 5 years of technical and mechanical trades experience in a high paced manufacturing field or equivalent amount of engineering (civil / electrical / mechanical / industrial) experienceExhibits strong leadership qualities and possesses well-developed analytical and communication skills (verbal and written)Experience with management of multi-trade divisional maintenance staff or outside contractors to achieve timely completion of tasksKnowledge of maintenance software, Microsoft Excel, preventive / predictive maintenance strategies and quality standardsDemonstrated leadership and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications : 5-7 years experience in a stamping facilityCompletion of Transporting Dangerous Good training.Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
