Cleveland Clinic’s Inpatient Pharmacy areas support distributive and clinical pharmacy services provided by staff pharmacists, clinical pharmacy specialists and pharmacy technicians. In this role, you will focus on medication management, helping facilitate Cleveland Clinic's vision of being the best place to receive patient care. While you will work primarily with transitions of care, you will also have flexibility to assist with other duties provided by the unit.
A caregiver in this position works varying shifts between 8:00AM – 4:30PM.

A Caregiver Who Excels In This Role Will
- Coordinate and provide pharmaceutical care for patients.
- Participate in patient care rounds.
- Perform pharmacotherapeutic monitoring and provision of pharmaceutical care for patients.
- Provide general and patient-specific drug information.
- Educate clinical pharmacists, technicians, pharmacy students, post-graduate trainees, allied health professionals, nurses and physicians in pharmacotherapy.
- PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) OR eligible for reciprocation in the current state within 90 days of hire
- Completion of a post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or fellowship OR completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY-1) and two years of experience as a clinical specialist or an equivalent role providing pharmaceutical care and performing pharmaceutical monitoring OR four years of experience as a clinical specialist or an equivalent role providing pharmaceutical care and performing pharmacotherapeutic monitoring
- For individuals required to administer immunizations: current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days of hire
- For individuals required to respond to adult or pediatric cardiopulmonary arrest events: current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or certification obtained within one year of hire
- Board certification

Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time
- Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job
- Lifting up to 30 pounds
- Reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting.
- Normal or corrected vision.
- Must have ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person
- Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
