POSITION SUMMARY: Provide support and maintain a superior level of service to the department to ensure cleanliness standards of the Casino are in line with 4-Diamond/AAA standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assist in maintaining adequate staffing levels in the department through selection, on-boarding, training, evaluating, motivating, and counseling Team Members, including floor crew, as needed.
- Organize and monitor workloads to ensure compliance with cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards. Ensure effective and successful team operation with exceptional guest service.
- Assist with inspections and evaluations of gaming floor, restaurants, and public spaces with recommendations for repairs.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and/or annual inventory of supplies, cleaning chemicals, and equipment to operate within budget.
- Plan work schedules in accordance with occupancy while utilizing labor management tools to control labor expenses.
- Maintain a working knowledge of policies and procedures and enforce the same within the department.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other departments and teams to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: High School diploma or equivalent, required.
2. Work Experience:
a. Minimum 5 years experience working in a casino/hotel in housekeeping or environmental services.
b. Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory/management role in a casino/hotel with 1 years experience working with vendors purchasing supplies and equipment.
3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
a. Knowledge and understanding of casino/hotel housekeeping practices and staff supervision.
b. Excellent communication (verbal, written) skills to effectively communicate instructions, directions, and professional resolve disputes with guests and/or Team Members.
c. Fluent in English (verbal, written). Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
d. Able to work successfully in fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
4. Be at least 18 years of age.
5. Participate and pass pre-employment drug screening and background investigation to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming License.
