Reporting up to the Emergency Department Manager and CEN Charge Nurse, the Emergency Room Nurse oversees patient care throughout the shift. This person will work closely with other Physicians, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, HUCs, and Emergency Medical professionals in order to ensure compassionate and competent care.
Throughout their shift, the Emergency Room Nurse plays a pivotal role in organizing medication administration and meticulously documenting patient care activities. In addition to these responsibilities, the RN promptly responds to medical emergencies, applying their expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Effective communication is key, as the Emergency Room Nurse regularly interacts with patients, their families, and fellow hospital staff, ensuring clear and compassionate exchange of information amidst the urgency of the ER setting.
