Overview:
We are seeking a System Monitoring Analyst to work with our client. This role involves monitoring and troubleshooting system processes, managing batch jobs, analyzing data, and ensuring seamless functionality of payroll, web services, and ETL processes. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with foundational experience in data analysis, strong technical skills, and a commitment to delivering reliable system support in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Payroll Monitoring
- Rules Engine processing/Monitoring
- OCR Monitoring
- Monitoring Web Services – Mail and Fax folders
- Jobs monitoring, re-triggering on failure and troubleshooting
- Monitoring and troubleshooting SQL sessions for table locking
- Retriggering failed jobs
- Batch Management
- Scheduled Jobs Monitoring
- Escalation to on-call/infrastructure team members
- 365-day support
- Pre-payroll to payroll job monitoring
- ETL Jobs monitoring
- Sending daily updates of process schedules
- Troubleshooting common issues
- Data Analysis/Data Engineering: Applying advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to derive meaningful insights, develop predictive models, and drive data-driven decision-making
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information systems, Data Science, or a relevant field.
- 1 years of experience or a prior internship experience as a Data Scientist / Data Analyst / Data Engineer
- The candiate must reside in NY.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or Excel.
- Coursework or hands-on projects demonstrating data analysis skills.
- Familiarity with data visualization techniques (experience with tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus).
- Basic understanding of statistical methods.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
